Word of Hope began in 2006 as a Bible study in the home of Pastor Zack and Josie Mitchell.
The Mission.
Nehemiah 2:10
When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard this, it distressed them exceedingly that a man had come to inquire for and require the good and prosperity of the Israelites. AMP
God has sent Word of Hope for the welfare of a particular people, the people are those around us. We have been put in a particular place to impact a particular people.
We have been blessed in order to be a blessing to the community!
Eph 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. NKJV
God loves unconditionally, We love unconditionally
2 Cor 9:9 As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” NKJV
Benevolence – Jesus met needs before anything else.
The world is in need of a Saviour, Love like He loved, Bring Hope like He did, Be a Resource, Meet needs like He did. Then you can Encourage them
Mark 16:14-18, Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” NKJV
